Initial Rehabilitation Program for Congenital Brachial Palsy

Traumatic lesions of the brachial plexus during delivery produce upper limb motor dysfunction in infants that adversely affect their mental and motor development.

The rehabilitation program offered in the Republic of Cuba helps to regain full or partial recovery of motor function of the affected limb and to achieve greater independence and communication with family members.

Consultations with specialists in orthopedic surgery of the upper limb will help to determine the feasibility and/or need for surgical rehabilitation.
